About Whisker Waggin'

Hi! I am Dr. Courtney Marquette, the veterinarian behind Whisker Waggin’ Mobile Veterinary Care. My love for animals – especially for those who are often overlooked – started long before I became a vet.

While earning my biology degree at the University of South Carolina, I joined the Dogs of Chernobyl Mission, providing care to the descendants of pets left behind after the nuclear disaster. That experience changed me, fueling my passion for animal welfare and shaping my path to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, I practiced in a Fear-Free, Cat-Friendly Certified, AAHA-accredited hospital, where I honed my skills and learned the value of gentle, low-stress care. But I wanted to do more – reach pets who might never make it to a clinic, support local rescues, and truly meet animals where they are. That’s what inspired me to create Whisker Waggin’.

When I’m not in my mobile clinic, you’ll likely find me training for my next marathon or exploring the mountains I’m lucky to call home. For me, veterinary medicine is a way for me to serve my community, connect with people, and make a lasting difference for animals.
