Whisker Waggin’ Mobile Veterinary Care, PLLC is a small, community-focused mobile practice providing high-quality, compassionate care to pets where they’re most comfortable—at home. This is a one-doctor, one-technician practice, where you’ll work directly alongside Dr. Marquette each day to deliver personalized, efficient, and attentive care. Our environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding—ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and meaningful client relationships. We also collaborate with local rescues and nonprofit organizations to provide discounted veterinary services, including TNR (trap-neuter-return) programs, as part of our commitment to improving animal welfare across the region.
Position Summary
We’re seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our mobile veterinary unit. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You’ll play an essential role in exams, anesthesia, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry while helping maintain smooth day-to-day operations on the road. This position is ideal for a technician who takes initiative, thrives in a small-team setting, and values efficiency, compassion, and quality medical care.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarian with exams, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and treatments
- Operate and maintain medical equipment (including dental x-ray and in-house analyzers)
- Prepare, induce, and monitor patients under anesthesia
- Maintain accurate medical and controlled substance records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Manage inventory, organization, and daily workflow for mobile service days
Qualifications
- Active and current veterinary technician license (RVT, LVT, or CVT) in North Carolina — required
- 1–2 years of experience in small animal medicine
- Proficiency in anesthesia, dental radiography, and patient handling
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to providing exceptional care
- Valid driver’s license and comfort working in a mobile clinic setting

Compensation
